Division St in Riccarton – Named because it marked the boundary between the jurisdictions of the Riccarton Road Board and the Selwyn County Council. “The division road” is first mentioned in the Star in 1877 when the Avon Road Board discussed taking it over as a public road. Chaston Close in Westmorland – Probably named after Jack Chaston. Chaston is listed in the 1970 telephone directory living at 255 Cashmere Road. The street was named after “a Mr J. Cambrian Close in Westmorland and nothing on library website. I didn’t walk this one as it didn’t have a footpath and just looked a driveway to a couple of houses. There are actually 7 houses built in 1980s and 1990s.
