Pegson Lane and it is too new to be on the library website. I didn’t walk this one as there wasn’t a footpath and looks like a private driveway as the lane is so tiny. A bit of googling gave me the information that pegson is a crushing machine using in quarries and mining
Napper Place in Halswell is too new for library website. The council website said it is named for a hammer. I couldn’t find a napper hammer when I googled but found the word knapping in connection with a hammer that is used with flint and similar rocks. This street runs from the corner of Hoyle …
