Gosforth Way in the suburb of Westmorland, Christchurch

Gosforth Way in Westmorland – Named after Gosforth, a village and civil parish in the Lake District, in the Borough of Copeland in Cumbria, England.Named to continue the theme in the subdivision of naming streets after places in historic Westmorland in England, since 1974 part of Cumbria. Named in 2013.

A small amount of information from the library website and Gosforth means ford frequented by geese. My book A Dictionary of British Names has been very useful for the Westmorland streets. I have visited the UK Gosforth and found three geocaches in a forest on the outskirts of the village.

This street only has three houses built in the last couple of years. There are still empty sections on this street. Good views here but the houses were ugly.
