Mapledale Place in Halswell – The property of Walter Francis Blowers (1916- 1999), a labourer and contractor, was sold for the development of this street in the early 1970s. In 1972, he is listed in the telephone book living at 82 Kennedys Bush Road. First appears in street directories in 1981.

When Walter Blowers was living here Kennedys Bush Road was known as Paterson Ave. Ancestry website in 1969 has him living at Paterson Ave and by 1978 he was living in Gebbies Pass. Blowers St in Halswell was named after his grandfather. Very little information on Papers Past about the street. A couple of entries about best street competitions. The various ads said that the street was in Halswell Village.
Most houses were built in 1970s and 1980s. At the end of the street there is an entrance to Birchdale Reserve.
