Pipipi Lane in Halswell/ Kennedys Bush – Pīpipi is a Te Reo Māori word for a brown creeper bird. Brown Creeper, Mohoua novaeseelandiae, is a small endemic forest bird of the South Island and Stewart Island, usually found in small, fast-moving noisy flocks high in the canopy.
A small amount of information from the council minutes and nothing that I can add about the name of the street. The street is too new to be on the library website or on maps. No houses here yet.
