Irvines Track in Halswell – This road is named after Professor Irvine. The use of Track is suggested as this road roughly follows the location of the old training track around the property.
A small amount of information from the council minutes. Papers Past had several entries mostly about his racehorses. There was an obituary for Cliff Irvine in 2010 and he was originally from Southland. Lincoln University also did an obituary for him and his full title was Emeritus Professor of Veterinary Science.
There is a preschool on the corner of Irvines Track and Kennedys Bush Rd. The houses here are built between 2020 and 2023 with a few still being built. There is a playground on the corner of Irvines Track and Light Mood Road.
